Apollo’s Bio-Fin PRO C Series Fin

What is It? A split fin with a commercial-grade strap. Apollo says the 20-degree angle of the blade ensures that the fin works with the natural resting angles of the ankle and knee, and users get up to a 40 percent reduction in muscle fatigue, energy use and air consumption. The Bio-Fin PRO C is made of durometer rubber, and the quality of the strap is a main feature of this product.

Benefits to Your Diving: A fin that reduces muscle fatigue and air consumption is a good thing for any diver. The Bio-Fin PRO C does those things and it’s built with a strap that incorporates a durable stainless steel coil spring that is built not to rust. The strap has a rubber grip with a finger loop, which is designed for easy access, even while wearing gloves. Not having to stop and adjust your strap helps you get the most out of your dive. Suunto’s Cobra2 Dive Computer

What is It? A redesign of Suunto’s Cobra dive computer. The Cobra2 and its sister dive computer, the Vyper2, build on their predecessors with an electronic compass, graphic dive profiles, Suunto RGBM Deep Stop Algorithm, and simplified four-button operation. The Cobra2 also incorporates air integration, with features such as temperature, tank pressure, and estimated air time with low cylinder pressure warning. The RGBM Deep Stop Algorithm tracks both dissolved and free gas in the blood and tissues of divers.

Benefits to Your Diving: The Cobra2 includes compasses with tilt compensation, which guides divers both graphically (with arrows) and numerically (in degrees).
