Aeris' XR-1 Nx Dive Computer
What is it? An air/nitrox dive computer
billed by Aeris as the "next generation"
of the company's XR-1 dive computer. The
addition of the nitrox operating mode is
the main feature of the XR-1 Nx; others
include a "hockey puck" module that is
the same size as most depth gauges,
which allows for easy and inexpensive
upgrades; a 12-dive logbook; and an
automatic safety stop prompt.

SeaLife's Mini Wide Angle Lens
What is it? The new miniwide-angle lens
increases the camera's viewing angle by
43 percent, and is designed to fit
ReefMaster Mini and ECOshot cameras.
Other specifications: It has a 0.45X
conversion lens; provides a sharp focus
from 12 inches (30 cm) away; has a full
multicoated optical glass; easily snaps
on and off underwater; is waterproof to
200 feet (60 m); includes neoprene lens
covers, storage case and safety lanyard.

Oceanic Vortex V-16 Fin
What is it? The V-16 combines the
patented design with a new mix of four
materials that the company says enhances
both performance and style. Oceanic says
that compared with conventional fins,
the Vortex V-16 is up to 30 percent
faster and more efficient, with less
effort, stress and strain resulting in
greater thrust, comfort and control.
Benefits to your diving: The four
materials in the fin give it unusual
performance and weight characteristics,
giving divers better control. And as
experienced divers know, if they control
the shape of the blade during the kick
cycle, they control water movement -
thus maximizing the efficiency and
propulsion of the fin. Multiple
thermoplastic and natural rubber
compounds with varying durometers are
used to provide a combination of flex
and rigidity to control the shape of the
blade as it travels through the water.

SeaCURE's 'Hi-Flow' Custom
Mouthpiece
What is it? A replacement for SeaCURE's
"Sport" mouthpiece model. The "Hi-Flow"
features an expanded port for increased
air flow. It also includes a new
one-piece molding and sealing
attachment. The device allows for easier
molding and is then used to protect the
regulator from debris and unwelcome
guests during storage. The SeaCURE
Hi-Flow model is available in three
sizes.

The Kapitol Reef(tm) Snorkel
What is it? A dry snorkel built with an
exhalation and an inhalation tube, and
with something called Kadence
Technology.(tm) The technology keeps
water out of the snorkel's inhalation
tube with little effort from the diver,
even when underwater. In single-breath
dives, the exhalation tube will flood
but clearing it requires only a relaxed
exhalation, and not a "blast." To attach
their dive masks, users can pull the
lower end of a "snag-free" clip and
slide their mask under the tabs.
Benefits to your diving: The snorkel's
Kadence Technology(tm) reduces the
amount of exertion you need to put into
a dive. It is designed to reduce
expiratory flow rates, overall resting
respiratory rate, anxiety, and muscle
