Mares' Puck 3 Dive Computer

What is it? A compass-equipped dive computer that's part of Mares' new Puck line of dive computers. The line also includes the Puck wrist and Mission Puck 2 consoles. The Mission Puck 3, as well as the Mission Puck 2, has a shock-resistant elastomeric technopolymer casing and ergonomic shape designed with optimized viewing angles for easy reading of the computer, gauge and compass all at the same time. The Puck 3's compass distinguishes it from the Mission Puck 2 model. Other innovations include one central and two side flexible eyelet loops for easy attachment.

Benefits to your diving: Like all Mares computers, the Puck line is equipped with the RGBM Mares-Wienke algorithm, considerably lowering the risks associated with the formation of microbubbles by introducing deep stops, and active, timer-controlled display lighting by only pressing a button. For more information about the Mares Puck line of dive computers, or to reach the nearest Mares dealer, call (800) 874-3236.

Pelican's Nemo(tm) Series Dive Flashlights

What is it? A series of dive flashlights composed of seven re-engineered versions of Pelican's most popular submersible dive lights. They range from a 2AAA model (good for quick scans in a dive bag) to an 8D model (that will light up just about any situation above or below the waves). Most Nemo Series lights feature a double O-ring seal design and submersible ratings of up to 500 feet (152 m) underwater. The Nemo lights are available in black, blue or yellow.
Benefits to your diving: The lights are designed to offer maximum run time and visibility for extended underwater adventures. Their industrial-strength polymer construction makes them nearly indestructible and keeps them shining through punishing conditions such as a fall from a wheelhouse to the deck, onto the rocks or into a cargo hold. Best of all, the flashlights are backed by Pelican's "legendary lifetime guarantee of excellence": "You Break It, We Replace It...Forever"(tm). For more information about the Nemo series or to reach the nearest Pelican dealer, call (800) 473-5422.

Ikelite's AF35 AutoFlash Kit

What is it? An external flash for underwater cameras that fits most compact digital camera housings. The AF35's sensor compensation dial gives divers additional control over flash exposures when shooting in Auto mode. For more lighting control, divers can use the six manual power settings on the AF35 flash. The AF35 AutoFlash Kit includes the AF35 AutoFlash, flash diffuser, flex arm, auto sensor, rubber grip and mounting tray. It's rated to a depth of 300 feet (91 m).

Benefits to your diving: The AutoFlash has some distinct advantages over built-in flashes that are worth considering. Divers get auto and manual flash settings, enhanced color, brighter flash output, reduced backscatter, more natural lighting, wider flash coverage, and an adjustable flash position. A second strobe can be added to help when shooting with a wide-angle lens. For more information about the AF35 AutoFlash Kit, or to reach the nearest Ikelite dealer, call (317) 923-4523.

Armor's Rolling Boat Bag

What is it? A dive gear bag with rollers that can also be carried as a backpack. The 30-by-16-inch heavy-duty rubber coated mesh bag includes a front pocket large enough to hold snorkel and mask and other gear. The bag has a semi-dry pocket in the back and includes a clear dry bag where you can protect your valuables from wet conditions. The bag can also collapse to a size allowable on dive boats.

Benefits to your diving: The Roller Boat Bag has a full-length side zipper for easy access, so divers don't have to dig down from the top. The back of the bag is stiffened so that it doesn't "fold up" while pulling it, and the latest version of the bag has an 18-inch pull handle, making it easier to manage the loaded bag while rolling. For more information about the Rolling Boat Bag or to contact the nearest Armor dealer, call (800) 487-9485.
