Quarry Lake Park , Wisconsin

Quarry Lake Park is an 18-acre spring-fed lake in the southeast Wisconsin city of Racine . The site had been very popular a few years ago but water conditions have declined,  visibility, mainly,  a county official said, and that has kept some divers away. The community uses the lake for multiple recreational purposes including diving, swimming and fishing. As the name suggests, limestone rock was mined from the site years ago until flooding, and some of the equipment used in the mining operation was left behind. Once divers pass around the swimming area, depths descend quite rapidly. A C-card is required. Visitors to Quarry Lake Park will find an air-conditioned beach house with multiple amenities.
