The
dive site south of Houston offers 31 acres of clear, aquifer-fed lake water.
About six years ago the abandoned rock quarry site was transformed into a
travel park for campers and other recreational vehicles. A few years ago the
twin lakes opened to diving and has been improved ever since. The larger of
the two lakes is the preferred dive site. There are training platforms and
four floating docks. Divers can explore five boats and a Bluebird bus.
Recently installed are additional dive platforms, pavilions, picnic tables
and landscaping. Divers must present a C-card, sign a liability release
form, and pay in cash.
